I changed the compressor on mine and did not need a software update maybe because it was only pump that was changed and not the whole unit?

Think you only need the software update if you upgrade the pump usually a change of manufacturer Thumbs Up

You only need to change the firmware if you got from Hitachi/Dunlop to AMK compressor or vice versa.

When I swapped compressors earlier in the year I went for the Arnott AMK style one as it was cheaper than the going AMK from Land Rover.

I think my pump is fine, I watch it on the diagnostics on the way home last night and it was building up pressure no problem until it got hot and then cut out at 280f as it is supposed to do. The car then began to drop until the compressor had cooled to around 220f when it cut back in again.

Bag ordered from Dan yesterday afternoon and will hopefully fit it Thursday night so I have the car for the weekend.

I only ordered the bag (as mine is adaptive suspension and the whole strut is over £500!) Hopefully will come apart ok

Does sound like the pump is ok given it shuts down at over temp and then cuts back in.

Fingers crossed it comes apart and goes back together ok.

Yes fingers crossed. Not sure if I can get the bag off without taking the strut off the hub?

Never tried to remove a bag from a strut before but assume its just a case of removing the large centre nut like you would on a normal coil shock with the impact gun?

You will have to remove the strut from the car to replace the airbag. .

Well it's off and would have been a doddle if the lower strut bolt wanted to come out! Anyway all ready to go back tomorrow when the bag arrives
