A Trap

Gearbox does self learn but normally after a oil change or flush the gearbox will be as before, with may be slightly different shift points but get progressively smoother from there as you add miles, you don’t normally go backwards on smoothness but it will operate slightly different.

ISTR somewhere on here reading of that the gearbox adaptations are sometimes reset by the guys doing the oil change and it leads to odd changes until the box learns your driving style.

Found it, page 2.

Hope it helps. Cheers

Greetings everyone

So update......

I've done around 900 km since the oil change. In higher gears, at road speeds, it is very smooth, you barely notice the changes. In town, specially when changing from 1st to 2nd, I is more abrupt, like on a old type automatic box.

is more noticeable when I start driving in the morning, when is hot is less pronounced .

For the moment, is not getting worse, so for time being, I'll just keep driving ,if it starts to get worse, then I will have to take it back to the ZF dealer.

the dealer did mentioned that it takes time for the gearbox to get used to the new oil ( their words ), I wonder if in reality is for the gearbox to learn how I drive ?
