The light wiring should be squeeze the top and bottom together James...

Thanks Craig. Needed a bloody gripper to get it out. Thought I could get the bulbs out too but it's completely sealed so I presume if a Bulb had gone, it's a whole new light unit?

Spray the plug area with wd40 and then try and press each clip in in turn whilst prising the clip up.I find using the blade of a screwdriver works well.

Thanks guys. Got it off in the end and now drying out inside. I Take it that it's a sealed unit and no incursion can b made into the insides (to change a bulb, dry it out etc) |

Yes, LED's do go wrong as proven by my SL. Both rear lights are LED and they look really crap, when some have died. I managed to buy a set of rears which were perfect and had them changed, even though my originals had enough LED's to pass an MOT. There is a minimum percentage for an MOT pass. I can't remember what the percentage was.

Just purchased a drivers side rear led light unit …see link below. Is very good finish identical to original LR one apart from no LR Logo.
