I had bubbles coming through the clear tube on mine too (the one that goes from the diesel filter to the high pressure fuel pump). I ended up changing the fuel pressure sensor (Britpart) when I changed the diesel filter as well, bubbles appear to be gone now and it starts much easier now. I still let it prime up though for 5-10 seconds before starting it. Starts all the time now (when it cranks, more on that on another thread)
The fuel pressure sensor which you'll have to remove anyway when you swap them over is around £20 anyrate.

The secondary lift pump has already been changed in the past, and my in tank pump is starting to be a bit lazy as well.....I'm just keeping it with 1/2 a tank of fuel in it and calling 1/4 tank empty rather than letting it go too low.
