United Kingdom 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Tonga Green
2004 Range Rover Vogue in Tonga Green

Wanted a big 4x4 after selling my Giulia QV. We are moving into a new house so the budget was fairly stripped back but managed to pick up this lovely example just outside Belfast.

2004 Range Rover Vogue
4.4 V8 Petrol
69500 Miles
Full History inc recent gearbox flush and diff service

Tonga Green Metallic
Cream leather with coloured piping
Fully loaded inc:

    Harmon Kardon Logic 7
    Sat Nav
    Heated seats front and rear
    Heated steering wheel
    Heated windscreen
    Parking senors front and rear
    Cruise
    Sunroof
    etc etc

So far ive added Charger front grill and charger side vents

I had bought a 7" Android double din but after reading the effort involved im tempted to go with the E39 E53 BMW Erisin unit as it appears to be slightly easier. Thoughts welcome on this.

Condition wise its in fantastic order, plans are to keep it indefinitely and lightly restore the areas that need some TLC. Mainly the rear quarter surface rust. Ill give the paint a full detail also at some stage when im happy with things. Probably add side steps to eventually once I get the bodywork all up to scratch.

Great noise from it, reminds me of my Jag XFR from a few years ago.

Looks like a great resource this forum so hoping to get my use out of it and contribute where I can.

Pics of the Range ill put up this weekend.

Thanks,

Chris

Some pics finally

When I got it home for a proper wash and decontamination

Now I've added Charger grill and side vents to bring it up to date a bit. Plus a new drive shaft lol

New Headunit, side steps and clear side repeaters will be next.

Looks lovely to me. Fitting the android is a bit of a faff because of the need to run a extension cable from the rear up to the dash. You can test the unit first before removing all the trim by connecting it up in the boot.

Car looks great. You just can't beat a green Range Rover in my opinion!

100% agree.

If it was a range rover of this age it had to be a vogue and it had to be green of some kind.

Good to see the green colours all coming back round now full circle ... the new rs4/rs6 come in a lovely dark bottle green Very Happy

You say in your first thread it has hardon kardon logic 7... that would signify either a later car or an AB car? Was this a mistake? I ask as this will make fitting an aftermarket or BMW head unit Much more tricky, if not nigh on impossible as that would make the audio Jag based!?!

Just going by the door cards on the car it says Harmon Kardon Logic 7

Anyway I can check this, and if its optical connection?

So it would appear not to be a mistake? What does your head deck look like? A MOST bus system? Ie touchscreen? If so then it’s not a BMW system but a Ford/Jag system sir... And I believe MUCH harder to replace!
I don’t have much modern day experience with your system, but I’m sure some here will have and be able to offer advice 👍

From that information, you have a MY 2005 with MOST optics. Note well Craig's comments. It is not easy/possible to replace. John
