ref the cruise control initiating a restricted Power (RP) - It will do this (exactly as mine did) when there is a slight demand for power (for instance going up a slight incline - mine did this repeatedly at exactly the same spot on the M4 just as it started to go uphill) it will trigger an RP. This will most likely mean you have an air leak somewhere (mine was inlet manifold) and the ECU tries to protect the engine as boost or air mix not perfect.

Good news that yours is regenning again but it seems to be sooting up quite fast which would seem to reinforce our theory that you have a leak .....

Thanks for the info Dolphinboy

Agreed, it’s kind of looking that way

It went up from 0.1 ( in theory) to about 15 quite quickly say 40mins then it slowed down until 18.9, which I suspect is based on the pressure differential and that it had a “quick clean” out which left some soot behind following the reset (it was told it had a new dpf)

When I’m parking or shunting about and floor it then lift off You can hear the turbo whooshing, like from a dump valve or something....

It’s had a remap (allegedly) and possibly this affects the boost pressure maybe ?

I need to drive another L322 to see if it’s just standard !

I knew I shouldn’t have cleaned it before setting off lol

Censored it down in Nairn currently

Personally the remaps worry me. The system itself as standard is full of idiosyncrasies and variation; I find having it set as vanilla as possible helps - also what are you looking to get out of a re-map - a bit of extra acceleration?

I would re-set the ECU to normal so you have a slightly more definable starting point and to eliminate that as a cause. There is then a list of other problems you can work through in order of importance/likelyhood and cost...

Good luck

Evening all

Update

I have the RR back and all fixed

Yay

Took it to JAS Land Rover near York

Very helpful and great to deal with

DPF was partially blocked with ash, which was due to a small amount of oil getting into the exhaust Via turbo oil drain on LH side apparently

Solution was to Replace £3k or clean £895 I opted for clean
It’s has to be a good process and dpf was cut out and sent away

Sleeve kit fitted and new sensors

Megaflush gearbox

Investigate cruise control issue ( worn tyres in end )

New indicator in wing

£1300

Got I back today and all good

The actual clean was £330, the other cost was cutting it out and refitting etc..

Did you have the turbo drain mod done as that was the cause of the blockage allegedly? BMW i3 Electric Car
