Vacuumed the inside and washed the outside of it. Knackered now.

1st day of ownership - thorough interior clean, front wheel balance and tracking (one tyre is out of round), fitted my mobile phone holder, ordered GAP IID tool, ordered Bovee 1000 blue tooth streaming input for the 30pin ipod socket, compiled a long list of jobs......
Woke up at 4am in a cold sweat when the reality dawned on me that I now own an L322 Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Yesterday I fitted a complete used Westfalia towbar and electrics. All went well.

Today I checked the electrics and initially thought there was a problem with the caravan fridge etc circuitry, lights etc being fine (phew!) Turned out there is more electrickery in the caravan electrics than I thought would ever be the case! All good, but best to have an understanding of the manual beforehand! Embarassed

Having continued non-communication despite several reminders with Luxury Land Rover Upgrades, aka Luke Cooper, aka Discodevil in respect of non supply of goods for in excess of £350 for 4 weeks now. Not a peep from him. Beginning to fear the worst and will be contacting credit card company shortly. Shame as I need a replacement reversing camera!

Chris

Removed dash and repaired radio.

Fourth time lucky!
The two buttons under my volume knob have never worked, so I decided to have a go at fixing it.
First two times I couldn’t get the dash off to get at the radio, third time I managed to get it all out and found the circuit board had popped off inside so thought I’d fixed it. No such luck!
Bought a new front and had a go today, removed everything and swapped the parts over for the fronts and now my buttons work. Very Happy
Interestingly I have a dual view screen! The replacement fronts were £150 but the single view screen was only £80, I bought the single view and swapped over the buttons for the dual view as it appears underneath they are both the same fronts except for the writing on the right hand buttons, both circuit boards appear identical.

Connected up and paired my Gap IID tool and ran a scan and lots of codes but all very minor and old apart from; P040D-00 (2F) Exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor A - circuit high
Seems a common issue and not something to worry about but have set up the live data to keep an eye on it and DPF soot levels
As the car came with 255/55 R20's I've tried to adjust some settings to get the speedo and other associated displays to read more like a normal car but it's work in progress - rolling radius for the ABS in mm and wheel size ( in inches) are 2 values that need changing. Bit alarming when the process is completing even if I was expecting it.
Was going to take it out for a run tomorrow but with the current panic buying I think I'll save my remaining diesel for work use. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Plugged in the trickle charger without even unlocking the car (via my home-made cable to the white 7-pin tow electrics) and took the motorbike out instead. Couple of hundred miles later on two wheels and I returned to find the FFRR is still there and looking good. Result!!
