Heated seat fix

Well my parts arrived from Kiev a few days ago and fitted them his morning. I had no issues with the peltier size and slotted right in ok. Removing the seat back was the most fiddly and patience to put it back together

That seems a fairly high price for this unit. I bought my kit for $104 delivered ~£77

Hi All, Thanks to my IID Tool and the drivers side fault codes I stumbled across this thread. Great write up and managed to remove seat back and yes a well and truly cracked duct. Seems to be a common issue!!
Must have been like this for some time!

Despite this, on cooling mode both base and rear seat fans would work. When on heat mode only the rear seat fan would spin is that correct or are both fans supposed to spin in heat mode?
Passenger side seems to have the same operation in terms of fans, but no fault code for that seat.

Anyway new part HHK500060 for rear of drivers seat and filter ordered direct from LR (same part number for both seats), quite pricy but wanted to make sure it was direct swap with no issues.
Will then see what happens with the fans.

Looking forward to enjoying heated seats now winter is on the way!

Finally got around to taking the seat apart today to see what's what. Had the fluid leak fault via gap, heated never worked in my ownership - 14 months.

The duct was almost completely detached at the bottom, a total mess. Having removed it and done a 'professional' bodge on the bench with electrical and foil tape - to my surprise - it works!!!

Well chuffed, grateful to this thread for sure.

Took it to the shop earlier to buy a bottle of wine to celebrate, toasty seat 100%. On the way home, feeling smug, got the 'DPF full' message for the first time lol, what a bloody nightmare these cars are. 1996 Disco 1 3.9 V8 on gas (Sadly Sold)
