And no flickering or errors so far

That’s good. Worth a try at that price I thought. I’ve not been out in the dark yet…..

Just to complete the look, replaced my side indicators bulbs with LED bulbs too.

To add to the bright LEDs I added some 50% brighter xenon D3S bulbs. Very pleased with them and the old bulbs were the originals which were past their best. The light is now a brighter white as I went for 6000k.

Which bulbs did you go for?

They seem well made and were an easy swap out.

That’s not a daft price.

A couple of points.

You don’t have to remove the bumper to remove the headlamps, there’s two ways but 3 of 10mm bolts and they are out, easy. Look in the hand book or on YouTube.

A colour temp of 4700-5000k is best for light output (lumens) and colour, higher temperatures get more blue (6000-8000k) and then purple (10000k+), the higher temperatures don’t relate to light output, just colour. White is the best temperature for eyesight about 5000k.

If you want your lights to look like a modern Audi or Mercedes etc 6000k gets you that blue tint putting looks before performance. 🤷

Some countries detail the colour temperature allowed (~4300k which is OEM) at MOT so be careful if outside the UK.

New oem type bulbs (~4300k) will give you noticeable better performance than old bulbs, at 10 years they need replacement due to degradation and will instantly look and perform better, this is the cheapest route.

Osram and Philips last the longest but can be out performed by some leading non OEM brands.

6000k putting looks before performance is stretching it a little. 5500k is probably the ideal kelvin rating.

its true that OE 4300k bulbs have the best light output but the 6000k being whiter give the driver a better clearer light..

tbh, i have never found much difference in light output in both 4300k and 6000k except the latter looking whiter.. ... - .- -.
