United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zermatt Silver

Very boring compared to what Piet was up to -

Back seats flat for run to rubbish tip ( re-cycling centre ) Completely full

Eleven miles to farming store then back ( twice ) to fill the car ( Back seats down ) with supplies for the horse, once again completely full with extra stuff filling front passenger seat and foot well. Both times Big Cry

Trip to supermarket, at the same time returned some tools that I had borrowed, back to a good mate.

Cleaned the inside of the RR. Outside to clean tomorrow, then dry car and fit battery conditioner. Then fit car cover to car as back off to work sea on Monday. ( Back to reality )

All in all, had a very busy day, thankfully the fatty is a bloody good work horse. Excuse the pun Rolling with laughter

Coolant low message appeared on Saturday, so after an inspection with a mini camera found the Thermostat housing to be cracked...

Sunday, 6 hrs later and its off - it was as brittle as could be and had welded itself to engine... why use plastic for a part like this Land Rover Censored

Parts on order.. watch this space Very Happy

Changed battery out for another 020. Seemed heavier than it did last time (7 years ago). Can't be age related 🤔. Battery tray in a good condition. Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)
Galaxy 2001-2007
Mondeo Estate 1997-2001
Sierra Estate 1993-1997
Uno Turbo 1987 -1993
Fiesta 1984 - 1987
Fiat 127 1982 - 1984

After a long wait, the new tail lights are finally here!
Really love the side marker strip as standard ones seemed incomplete to me without it...

Front and rear done now...

Still have the original 4 pieces with another pair of white side indicators for an all silver look or glad to discuss with anyone interested...

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

Took her in this morning for an MOT, passed with just a few advisories. Small amount of black smoke under acceleration, I couldn't see any when he revved it, wonder if that's because I've blanked off egrs, he did look under bonnet, not sure if he was looking to see if I had. Front brake hoses corroded, rust on sills and CV boot split. Rather chuffed really, I was expecting more.

Replaced the drive belt tensioner as the belt had started to run off the edge of the pulley. Old one had a big cracked on the backside of it. Got a genuine tensioner from LR dealer. And also replaced the fuel filter with a genuine one as the old one, although only a few months old, was an aftermarket one.

Had my first fault since buying my RR, had an adaptive dynamics warning on, diagnosed (wire broken on osf strut top) repaired and all done within 10mins and the best part was it didn’t cost me a penny. (Im a technician) happy days!
