You have this topic under L405 but your profile has an L322 listed.

One's expensive to repair, the other's very expensive to repair! Thumbs Up

Mike

Sorry not updated profile
I’ve got both, 322, and a 405.
That’s cheered me up no end !!
Could it just be a sensor fault?
The car seems to be driving ok

Have you checked your ACE fluid level?

I recently had to replace the ACE pipes as they had corroded...

Hi,
I am new to the board. Just wondering if replacing the ACE pipes is something a reasonably experienced weekend mechanic could handle at home?

2016 L405 5.0 SC with C1119-09 (Permanent Hydraulic Pressure) error code and red suspension fault message to "Stop Safely Stop Safely Stop Engine. My ACE pipes are pretty rusty, so am thinking that is causing the pressure issue as I dont have any other error codes.

Thanks for the help and add Smile

To do the job with original pipes you need to remove the rear subframe, download the Workshop Manual from the WIKI (link above right) It is a lot of work but doable for a home mechanic... I did hear rumours that the dealers charge up to £7,000 for doing it but that's probably a bit excessive...

Just a thought, if you removed both ends, worked out a new route for the pipes and got a flexible hydraulic hose made up it would be considerably quicker and cheaper than using new pipes which will just rust again.... Maybe it's possible.... Thumbs Up

The other answer is to rip the whole sway bars off and replace with the normal ones they fitted to the V6 diesel over here...!!

Never tried the above but in theory it should work.... maybe....!! Pete

Thanks for the vote of confidence! I ordered the factory pipes today for both front and rear. Should be here in a couple weeks.

Hopefully for the rear I can drop the subframe a little and snake the new pipes over it? Don't fancy dropping it out completely... eek Neutral

Some sort of replacement pipe, or perhaps cut and join with a hydraulic joint could be an alternative if I choke on this! Thanks for the suggestion Smile

The pipes are too intricately shaped, and the subframe too close to the floor to cut them and rejoin without dropping the subframe...

Thanks, Mickey. I thought that might be the case as the pipes sure do look very intricately shaped!

..definitely going to be a learning experience. Smile
