Love this idea, I’ve got a vogue se and I’m worried I’ll lose the rear screens if I did this, would that be the case? 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE

Just an update - Erisin said it was on a bad firmware updated it and touch wood everything is working as it should....

Next upgrade may be door speakers and aftermarket amp now I can do this but will stick as it is for the time being...

With regard to losing the rear screens yes you would - I had a smashed one anyway and an intermittent dvd changer so it was pretty useless in mine as it was. could with that I got a late 2012 AB interior which looks the mutts nuts but that did not have screens so it looks more authentic now.

I did get the wiring diagram for the screens and it looks like you could just wire a composite signal to them but you'd need to expirement, the head unit has to rear output if that is indeed the case... Current stable:

Is this one a simple Plug and play for early L322s (2002/2004) since it is for BMWs, please? or does one need adaptors?
Many thanks.

Would you mind sharing some pics?

cheers

Just to clarify with this, I've got a 2004 Vogue - If I fitted one of these with the 5m cable etc would I retain steering wheel controls?

Thanks

Yes that's correct

I've got this one and I recommend it seems to be working good after some initial teething issues.

They offer the 5 m cable when you buy.

Perfect, thank you!

It looks great and much nicer than a standard double din and facia. I want to keep the car as original and OEM as possible but I have limits when it comes to ICE. Laughing This looks like an easier solution than faffing about with Bluetooth kits with the existing HU that has dead pixels etc anyway.

Yes the only thing is it’s for an e53 x5 so it has a slight curve to it oem doesnt- this doesn’t not bother me but I can send a pic if needed.

It also has speaker outs if you want to bypass the dsp amp or you can run the RCA’s to the dsp amp get a resler interface (I might no a guy selling one ) get ibus app and bang you keep all the obc functionality too including equaliser on screen pdc.

I’d also install the office launcher it looks superb. Current stable:

Thanks!

I'm not in a huge rush, I only picked the car up yesterday, but it's still something on my list.

I'm currently using a bodged system via an Amazon Echo Auto connected via a tape adapter so sound quality is far from ideal - not to mention a the ugly cables... A nice all-in-one solution would do the trick. Failing that I've also had a look at a more simple solution of the GROM BT3 which simply replaces the CD changer with BT integration and even comes with the mic.

Netherlands 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Hi Dan

Just to be sure - by installing the latest Erisin (which looks wonderful !!) ... you have lost only the 4x4 info on display - and the output to the 2 headrest screens, correct ?

Back up camera, FM, DAB+, Dvd, bluetooth, steering wheel controls - all is OK ?

Or is there more functionality thats lost in the process ?

thanks Mark Offringa

No dvd as that is not in the new head unit.

You also can’t set the clock but you can wire a button you press at midday when the clocks change to reset it.

I have just modified it again - and used and after market amplifier and ran cables to the back so if you need a 5m most cable and or the most to rca converter they may be available for sale soon!

You will also lose your audio fader front to rear as it only takes one channel unless you go the aftermarket route like i did!

Are you wanting to change the amp too? I personally would as it’s easier and sounds great on the stock speakers believe it or not Current stable:

Just to bring this one up again (my apologies) - my DSP seems to be no more, does
It need to be working for sound to work with these units or do they bypass the need for the amp? '04 Adriatic Blue Td6 Vogue

Good question- you can either join all the word together for each door from the amp plug and connect them to the headunit or run an external amp which is do so as not to overload the headunit.

If you are good with a soldering iron you will probably find the 12v plug has corroded off the pcb and needs some love Current stable:
