I don’t believe so. The earlier ZF gearboxes are not known for their longevity in these heavy motors, though they are better than the GM box in the TD6.

A weak battery/low voltage can certainly cause issues with the ECUs e.g. TRANS. FAILSAFE PROG messages, etc. but I doubt it would cause a transmission judder. The most common cause of this with the 5HP24 is wear of the torque converter lock-up clutch friction plate. A fluid change, or friction modifiers added to the fluid, can produce a temporary improvement but ultimately the converter will require replacing/remanufacturing.
