Hi all
Over the past week I have been hearing a groan when steering. It's coming from the steering wheel column. Any ideas?? Power steering maybe?? FFRR TD6 HSE

It sounds the same as the the noise you get if you rub your thumb over the leather seat. Odd FFRR TD6 HSE

If it is like the groan and moan i get back from the wife just moan back at it always works for me !  Far to many gone...

is the steering affected in any way greg? ... - .- -.

Nope, steering feels fine. Had the column replaced 1 month ago. Wondering if it could be something to do with that. FFRR TD6 HSE

i dis-abled my steering movement and started to get this noise, enabled the movement and it seems to have gone...i'm none the wiser why it was happening.. .

I would suggest that it could well be the wheel rubbing against the trim. As it was replaced recently, maybe the trip wasn't put back together perfectly.

I had a similar thing with my Disovery, it did it for years. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

It's still doing it occasionally but not enough to bother me. It's hard to hear over the tractor engine under the bonnet anyway  FFRR TD6 HSE
