You only need to pay for the yearly/16k service and even then it can be any VAT registered garage but better if the garage can access OSH. That satisfies the requirement for warranty people to have the car serviced as per JLR requirements.
All other interim oil changes do it yourself we all do!
But yeh like many should have bought a petrol.

After driving to work and back plus more due to a regen today my average distance between regens has dropped to 24.9. Anyone after a car?? 🤣

I wanted to comment on the passive regeneration. Yesterday morning, when I left the house, I was on 12g soot. When I returned, I was on 8g. I did over 200km on the Autobahn + another 50km on local roads with some short journeys.

So, a constant speed on the autobahn for some time reduces the soot. Lots of acceleration increases the soot. So constant is good.

Short journeys, we know, increase soot. But how the short journey is driven also makes a difference. Gentle driving and constant speed increase the soot more slowly.

So if I didn't drive on the autobahns and the local roads had traffic, the soot increases quickly. Then the distance between Active regeneration wouldn't reach 750km.

Doing some calculations, you have 32 active regens between oil changes. Non-complete ones and ones triggered because the soot over 16g - really reduce the distance left until the service. So tracking the number of regens is more important to oil dilution than distance. SDV8 AB MY 2020

No, AFAIK even the GAP iiD tool has no “live value” for oil pressure, you would have to install your own mechanical OPG. I believe kits/parts are available, -maybe search on the D3/D4 forums?

Again, unless anyone knows better? -I always stand to be corrected!

Nooooooo! Sorry and I really do appreciate your generally helpful & very informative posts on this forum, but I must disagree here, because:

An oil pressure switch is no more accurate than the “ Idiot Light” on a dashboard, -or were you just kidding? Only a decent quality mechanical gauge such as a Wema can actually read an accurate OP in real time.

Anyway, of little consequence, because if the real OP is reduced significantly over time yet you are unaware, the damage is already done and you are already too late, so a new OEM oil pump every 50k miles is the way to go, and you WILL see the difference in the wear metals reduction in oil sample analyses.
