Yours should look like the top pic. The bottom one is with the clip/spring removed.

Hi Ash

Give you an update on my progress I have changed the oil cooler so time will tell if that cures my oil issue.

Restricted performance turbo codes I have carried out a live data check and when I am coming off the power the commanded value was 0% and actual was 100% on the turbine shut off valve and on pinged the warning. Took the valve off and check led it manually and there was a slight delay but the valve moved freely, stripped the sensor out it and it was the same moved freely but a delay through the live data so fitted a new shut off valve as I could get a sensor. Taken it for a drive with 4-5 hard accelerations above 3k watching the data and the actual and requested was spot on and no lights so longer test drive tomorrow and hopefully đŸ€žđŸ» I’m
On the right track.

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Mariana Black

Thats great new Ian - fingers crossed for you - I wish you were closer to me..!

I have no real clue what I'm looking at - I don't think the 'actuator' is the same thing that you were looking at although that part does seem quite hard to push (certainly not easy by hand) and, on a couple of occasions, did stick in the 'on' position and required me to pull it back.

This is the part i'm talking about - which I don't believe is the CSOV that you are looking at.

The rod (as shown with the arrow) is the part that will push with some pressure.. you can hear a 'glunk' when fully depressed which sounds like its closed a metal flap..?

I believe the articulating arm is this part..? (which I can't see)

Am I looking in the wrong place here - given the fault code I had was this...

... Any one wanna buy a 4.4 SDV8 AB....... I wanna 5.0 V8 petrol... Ash

Had a further road test today and all ok up to 4K rpm and no issues. The valve from the faults codes which where the same as mine is the shut off valve bolted on to the back of the secondary turbo. The CSOV doesn’t have a position sensor so it wouldn’t know its position or if stuck but wonder if the MaF sensor faults is a sign of it sticking as it would cause a the passenger one to get a reading when it shouldn’t.

That's certainly the turbine shut-off valve, not the CSOV. L405 D350 SE Carpathian Grey D5 19" rims

Ok mate. Thanks.
Just read in the workshop manual that if the car is left idling, the secondary turbo will activate every 3 minutes for lubrication. So thanks for pointing it out.
Thumbs Up

Does anyone know if this was the case with the L322 4.4 2011 or introduced with the L405s?
