Decided to have a look at the Land Rover Click & Go system the other day. Was in our local dealer and they had a couple of them on the display. I was quite impressed by how solid and rigid it was so I decided to take a punt.

There's a bar that goes between the headrest legs. It's spring loaded and has a clip at each end to stop it being removed without a key.



I found that one of the mounts that they do is suitable for the 1st Gen iPad Air. I had an old one at home that I wasn't using so it got wiped and put in the bracket.





One problem with an old iPad is that the apps on the App Store aren't compatible with it. I found a workaround though... if you download them on a newer device, then go to Purchases in the App Store on the old device you can click download. You'll get a message saying that the new version isn't compatible and it'll download the latest compatible version.

Hopefully that'll keep the wee guy happy when we're headed to see family in Wales or on longer trips with the caravan.

I've bought 2 Click & Go bases so that I can use the coat hanger on the drivers side.



Just need to wait for the other one to come into stock now as the dealer only had one of them.

Overall, I'm quite impressed with the JLR Click & Go system.

The base unit that goes between the headrest legs is around £30.

The iPad mount retails at around £120 but there are brand new ones available on eBay. That one cost me £24. Total for the iPad mount then is around £54.

The hanger retails at around £86. The local dealer had them on offer at £36 so I bought one from them and ordered a 2nd mount at the same time. Total cost for the hanger is around £66.

Once the Sport is done I'll likely order another couple of mounts as they'd be a bit of a faff to move between cars.

I have these in mine too and really like them I use the coat hanger lots, I have a universal tablet mount that gets used the odd time we travel a distance with the daughter in the back. Onto my 2nd FFRR, this time an L405 5.0L SC AB in SVO Palette black.

I think it'll be the coat hanger that I use the most to be honest.

The iPad mount will only be used occasionally on longer trips for the little guy. Just occasionally when going to see family in Manchester or North Wales he can get a bit restless in the back so am hoping that'll make a difference.
