Don’t think the old pipe would have lasted much longer

Ok, next part of the story. So tonight I have put a vacuum onto the CSOV and nothing happens, does the arm have to be disconnected to do this with a vacuum as I did not take it off. Any help would go a long way thank you.

No, it should move easily when a vacuum is applied. Is it pulling a vacuum but not moving, indicating a seized arm or not pulling a vacuum, which would be a faulty actuator on the csov. L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division.

Seized actuator arm or more likely the joint on the end, does it have the early joint or the later modified part? Either way a good soaking with a lubricant should sort it out. L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division.

It’s the later one with no nut on it, I’ve put a lot of WD40 on it tonight and I’ll have another go tomorrow.

So it’s been a bad day. Took the car over to my mums this morning as I do every day to check on her. Car was not running well from start off, went into limp mode and after a few miles come up with DPF full visit dealers. Got home to find oil in the left had air filter, so looks like left turbo has gone. Think that’s it for me and car will be sold.
