Software upgrades in 2018 L405

Is there somewhere information available how to perform in car module upgrades incl infotainment/nav, which hardware is needed and what is the best practice ? Or is a visit to a dealer necessary ?
Like to hear it from the experts Wink

The youtube channel of PowerfulUK deals with replacing and upgrading infotainment and other modules. There are several configurable options in the car's system files. While accessing them isn't exactly easy or cheap, the most effective and widely recommended tool for Land Rover owners is the IIDTool from Gap Diagnostic.

I've previously used a gap IID to enable/add loads of options on previous Land Rovers, I'm struggling with the current one as it already had most of the options ticked but in the past I have added:

Park heating
Heated steering wheel
Adaptive Cruise Control
Heated rear seats
Rear camera
Upgraded front seats to memory

I imagine it is difficult to make a definitive list as it depends what you already have and some retrofits might be technically possible but cost-prohibitive based on the additional hardware required.

Thanks for the feedback. Have both VXDiag VCX SE (i.c.w Pathfinder) and the 1st model IIDTool (registered to my RRS). Not sure about the support on my IIDTool. Will check this youtube channel mentioned. Will come back to this

My 2017 FFRR has a parking heater fitted, but I can't get it enabled to use as a option on the infotainment screen using GAP iid tool. Very frustrating.

I have successfully enabled the following features with the incredible IIDTool:

Auto High Beam Assist
Lane Keep Assist
Blind Spot Assist
Park Assist

I have all the hardware components required to enable Adaptive Cruise Control, I just didn't find the time to route the wires in order to keep the factory look...

Not sure if this is of any help, I had a 2018 for a short while, i contacted the local main dealer who pushed an update for the vehicle through -

Vehicle connectivity system 20.2

They said the car had been offline for a while and for any other updates they wanted to see the L405 on an hourly rate and go from there..... i kindly declined

the infotainment software version was - S22A_22,32,4-928505 this was last updated in 2022
