Road trip spares- 4.4 TDV8

So 2 months into ownership of my first ever RR and my 2012 4.4TDV8 Westminster has covered over 5000 miles comfortably. I've driven to Belgium and back during this time so it's done a small roadtrip. But in the future I'd like to go on a longer European trip. What would you all suggest as spare parts to take on the trip to carry out roadside repairs? Obviously they aren't cars that lend themselves to simple repairs, but apart from fluids and maybe some relays/fuses, is there anything else that could realistically be changed roadside?
Can you get a repair kit to bodge the air suspension? Maybe a spare auxiliary belt if the tensioner isn't in too ridiculous of a location? Maybe spare silicon hoses/ repair patches incase anything splits?
Wondered if anything obvious came to mind?

Decent high lift bottle jack to get wheel off the ground in the event you need to get it off or have a decent look underneath. I also carry a single jack stand for safety in that case. Yes, it’s a bit bulky and a pain to stow out of the way but worth its weight in gold if you need to do anything that involves lifting the car.

Also, I won’t go anywhere without a decent jump pack. Vehicle’s battery not up to the job once a little discharged and something as simple as opening and closing the doors a few times without running car up can be enough to prevent a start. I’ve used my NOCO Boost on a regular basis to get it started.

Finally, everyone says it and only as you’ve not mentioned it, a decent OBD2 tool is essential. GAP IID is the undisputed best but there are others. Don’t even question the price of one as it will pay you back multiple times over and get you going again in many instances when a fault comes up. Andy

Thats great, thanks for all of that. Regarding the GAP IID is there any reason i should get a G4 instead of a G3 seeing as 2012 L322 is covered on both?
I did get myself a jump pack incase it had a slow battery drain issue having lots of electronics! Luckily not needed to test it yet.
High lift bottle jack is a great idea, il do some research and definitely get myself one.

Breakdown insurance.

I regularly drive to southern Spain and spend most of the year in France and Andorra. I have a full size spare, battery booster, jump leads & and ODB reader. I also have a tow rope & shackles. Though most of it is really in the car because where else would you keep it ?

Unless I was doing something like the Maroc Challenge then I wouldn't bother carrying spares - just like I wouldn't have them sitting at home just in case.....

That Maroc challenge looks amazing! Just gone through the thread and makes me want a road trip even more Laughing Not quite the same taking it round the M25!

What year is your car? Just wondered if you went G3 or G4 on the Gap tool?

You can buy a G4, just buy a male/female dongle off Amazon and all you have to do is remove two pins for it to support the older LR’s.

The 4 way hose at the front of the engine is a known weak point causing coolant loss when it snaps.
Have a plan to do a temporary repair at least, a roll of self amalgamating tape would get you going.

A spare FSR. Get a used OE one from eBay, swap it with your working one and keep that in the glovebox. Simple enough to change them and you know you have a working spare and it’ll give you the confidence to swap it should you need to, on the road.

Also a Bosch ixos mini driver. Worth their weight in gold and very handy for getting those torx screws out.
