Have you checked the DPF pressure sensor reading with ignition on, engine off, as I think on the 2014 MY it adds barometric pressure based on altitude into the given value.

Pressure sensor reading is valid then if same reading with ignition off as barometric pressure at seal level is 1013.

Barometric pressure changes all the time depends on the weather. Currently we are in High pressure zone in most of UK but when cooler front comes in its Low pressure. Thats why pilots when ready to land/take off, they get the weather from the tower and adjust their altimeters accordingly. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue |

JLR would say its your driving style. Do you do mainly short journeys? probably a few interrupted Active Regens. What is the distance between AR? Just drive the car, no alarms no DTC's its working as it should. The software update? was it to increase the alarm level from 7% fuel dilution in oil to 10%? That was done to reduce the amount of complaints to JLR! Not a good idea in my view. I usually get the alert on the Incontrol app to service vehicle (change oil & filter) between 2.5 & 3k miles so you are not alone. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue |

I fitted a genuine DP sensor in the ongoing quest to get more miles between regens. The original sensor readings were spikey and checking with a DP digital meter they were more or less where they should be but with spikes. I checked at different revs but not under load. My theory was that the spikes were giving a high DP reading and triggering regens prematurely.

Thank you everyone who replied, all seems to be working as it should other than multipul regens so putting it down to driving style/30 mile round trip journey a day.

Check your internal engine temp. These engines run very cool in any case and my L322 4.4TDV8 (same engine) had a cracked thermostat housing which meant the engine ran extra cold and could never get up to high enough temp to complete a full regen (Had 3700 regen attempts over time!) so it kept trying to regen all the time.

I have a 2016 L405, and my oil change has also just come up again after 3000 miles.
