About to purchase a L322

Hi all.

I’ve looked at a few L322’s over the last year and I’ve just put down a refundable deposit on an immaculate L322 05 plate Vogue 3.0td6 on 45k in Tonga green and ivory interior. In near concourse condition and is basically a 1 wealthy owner and garaged from new car. Full service history and MOT record. A real gem. Off to look at it in a day or 2. Thought the price was ok compared to other low miles L322 of the age. But I’ve just compared it to other 3.0 td6 and it’s over double the best one I can find. Although it still looks night and day better.

What would you guys price it at ? The advert has been taken down now but I will try and get some photos and upload them. Btw I’m a newbie to the L322 world so go easy lol. 😜

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Baltic Blue

It doesn't really matter what others would value it at as long as you're happy with what you've bought and you're happy with the price you've paid for it.

I hope you enjoy it when you pick it up.

Thanks for the reply, really love the colour and look of an early L322. Smaller wheels and simpler looks. Less fussy etc. and spent a lot of hours reading up.

Spoke to many people who say the blues and greens command higher prices with lighter interiors. But it’s a market I’m new too and prices seem up and down and not sure on the general opinion of the 3.0td6 compared to others. So looking for a bit of guidence from those more knowledgeable. And just dont want to pay too much. And I prefer the L322 to newer models.

Scotland 2009 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Just compare against this 4.4 petrol and it'll seem very cheap...😄

Hi Mike,

Yep basically half that price 👍

Coming from an old 7 series that I’ve had for nearly 10 years, which is reaching the end of its lifespan now.

Oh yes, as you say, that's a real gem. I'd have it in a flash, if I had the opportunity and the price wasn't actually silly. Would definitely be prepared to pay a premium for it, no doubt. Like you, I prefer the earlier ones, with simpler aesthetic, smaller wheels etc... For what it's worth, 3 years ago I paid £3500 for my 2003 td6, a ULEZ refugee from a smart London neighbourhood, 1 owner car in grey(3rd best colour) with grey interior, clear glass with just 28k under its wheels.
Last year a 4k mile td6 in blue sold for around £25k at auction, I think at ACA in Kings Lynn. Does seem a bit much to me, but then, why not?
Good luck!

In writing my post I missed 2 further posts, including a suggestion of the price. I much prefer 'your' car to the blue V8! Not only on price.
Until the car mentioned at auction turned up, I imagined my td6 might be the freshest one around. Now it's slipped further in the smartness stakes. Think I might be provoked to wash it in the morning.

Hi Jim, that was a bargain price on your td6 great buy.

And I’m the same, not mad on the blue one either. Good to know that one sold at auction for that price. The one I’m looking at then feels not to bad then priced roughly half way between a £24,000- 4,000 mile car and a £4,000-150,000 mile car.

Any photos of your td6 👍

Yep, and if it’s ad good as the chap says which I have no reason to disbelieve. Then it’s as close to new as possible, maybe bar the 4,000 mile one Jim mentioned might be better but actually one that’s at least been driven regularly might be a better prospect to actually use more, but sparingly.

I’m sure there’s a few little things to do but part of owning one of these. I think I will roll up my sleeves dig out the spanner’s and look after it myself as much as possible.
