So was around the 23.5g+ zone, looking for a Regen once we cleared the local village, doing 20mph.
Would you believe it! Active Regen started! it only maxed at 460C at that speed, but it was enough to slightly reduce the max g level. Once cleared and past 30 and up to 50mph exhaust temps went up to usual 500+.

I always thought AR started, when at/over 30mph pleasantly surprised it happened at 20mph! 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

I’m confused by the number of OBD readers, is this the correct one?

Hi Kot

I found your research and findings write up very informative. Most of my journeys are short at the moment so was interested in trying to replicate your set up. I downloaded the Car Scanner app and purchased an OBD2 reader. I can’t find some of the 7 items showing in the final image of your dashboard app. Have you renamed some of the original headings to Trigger, Oil and Regen (if so what were the original headings) or do I need to upgrade to the £6 for life to have these headings?

Many thanks.

Steve

I have the same issue on my 2013. What is Regen called?

Fantastic bit of kit 👍

Do you guys have the full paid-for version? Not everything is available in the Free version.

What appears in the Dasboard is selectable/configurable in “Demo” mode.

The demo values are just random, but if you exit, the changes are saved to Dashboard, I guess you already know that. V6 Vogue - “Less is More” - less to go wrong!

Yes, I paid for the full version. 👍

Here’s a screen shot of a trip down to Brighton today.

Does that mean my dpf is empty or full?

And what’s dpf regen inhibited status?

Thanks

As you see, I plagiarised my Dashboard more or less from Kot, Bow down Bow down Bow down and I recommend you to do the same,
That bar graph isn’t too useful, and you can’t see your tiny fonts “on the fly” without extreme danger Shocked

Have a play with large font sizes in Demo mode, you can also change font colour at or above a certain value, e.g. red for too low, green for OK or active, etc.

I think “DPF Regen Inhibited status” means Regen is prevented when the DPF gets too full, i.e. Red DPF light is lit up in the cars dashboard, so regen can’t happen unless forced via the right equipment.
So not that much use to use that status, The ones Kot suggests really are the most useful.
Some folks like to monitor grammes of Soot rather than %, I find it easier to just look for 50% and think it’s about to happen, so get ready to go for a run. Mine always starts at 52-53% with amazing regularity. It won’t drop to 0% by the way, as only soot gets burnt off, the remaining % is ash percentage.

Kot will probably be along to issue further advice soon………. Very Happy V6 Vogue - “Less is More” - less to go wrong!
