OK. Got the idea. I squeezed each joint ever so slightly and avoided putting any pressure on the rivet which holds each joint in place. I didn't over do it so no breakages for once! I'll give it a go tomorrow. Got a long motorway trip so will probably get lots of use. I'll report back.
Thanks Thumbs Up 2012 5.0L S/C

After a gentle squeeze on each of the joints as indicated I had a very short run in light drizzle today. Not a definitive test but certainly all quiet! So far so good. Thanks for the tip Thumbs Up 2012 5.0L S/C

2016 Range Rover Vogue SDV8 Loire Blue

Mine is in for its second service on Tuesday, last year the steeler replaced the wipers and tried to charge me on a ten month old car, will be interesting what they say this year.
I have other cars with equaly long wipers but they dont thud so this just has to be LR muppetry. letters not necessarily in the right order

Yes indeed. Mine were Bosch and were great for a few months but even they started to thump, although less than with originals, after a while. This tip seems to have sorted it for now and is repeatable Thumbs Up 2012 5.0L S/C

Ok- I've bought a pair of 808's, done a search and can't find it anywhere- how do I get the old ones off? There's a rectangular plate on the wiper fronts with "LOCK" and an arrow. What do I do with that?

Slide the rectangular plate in the opposite direction to the 'lock' arrow and the wiper just pulls straight out Thumbs Up '04 td6 se

Massive improvement. No more thud, window clears a lot better. My old ones must have been shot!
