United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Zermatt Silver

Just driven across France from Calais to Chambery. Last few hours was in rain. Wipers were brilliant and quiet! Thanks for tip on squeezing the joints in the vice. Up to the Alps (Tignes) tomorrow. Probably snow rather than rain. Thumbs Up 2012 5.0L S/C

or you can get some bosch blades from ebay for about 16...these minimise the thud noise...

I know I’m replying to a old thread. But I don’t u defat and how you find out or set the 86 degrees. What is the angle in relation to the screen?

I can’t work out the picture either. Are they little pics of wiper motors??

Also the dimensions. Surely the wiper once sat in its spline is of a fixed dimension? Regards

There is no cam or no adjustment at all on I believe 09 upwards.

Up to 09 the blade was samwhiched between to shims with horizontal serrations which is where the adjustment was.

After 09 and if you buy a replacement arm now this shim top and bottom is cast onto the wiper arm. And the angle is set.

I’m now at a loss to cure the thud. Interestingly it’s only the passenger side which does it. Regards

I think I’m going to buy a new passenger side arm and see if that fixes it.

I wonder if national windscreens somehow bent or removing it or something when the they replaced the screen??

I think I’m also going back to the Bosch wipers. The Aeros look nicer but the more you change / modify things the more hassle or always is.

Does anyone think position of the wiper on the spline makes any difference? I know the workshop Manual says 58 mm for passenger side. But I can’t see that is imperative to wiper noise? Regards

Fitted new passenger side arm and new bosh 808 blades and almost completely silent. I’m guessing the old arm somehow got bent at some point.

Verified by the fact the new arm sits perfect 86 degrees. Regards

Please can someone ping a link to these Bosch 808's. Can't seem to find them online- do I need to purchase any adaptor ?
or do they fit directly on to a standard 2010 tDv8 ?

At the risk of repeating something already said:

The motor linkage wears with age, and this can cause the right wiper to hit the RH side A pillar.

This is exacerbated by heavy rain, speed or strong winds.
