Could be worse, but it's not particularly dignified in comparison with the L322 - far less distinctive in profile.

Just have to wait and see how much tinsel is ladled on in the details.

I think it looks great, still heaps of presence on the road. Nice wheels. Looks like it definitely has a split fold tailgate below the number plate.

I would like to see them keep the signature "gills" on the front quarter panel though and not move them to the door as a cosmetic feature, or lose them altogether as in the pictures. Can't quite make out whether the highbeams are LED units, wonder if they will make it into production? Discovery 4 SE Baltic Blue

These look like a cross between a Freelander (Front) and a Sport (Rear) .....

Worse than previous images IMHO.

Profile now looks more like a Sport. Damn shame really, it's not something which appeals now. If I wanted a RRS, that's what I would have bought.

Not sure on the whole LR direction now. Evoque is butt ugly and hugely overpriced, FFRR now being dumbed down and doubtless the price will go up significantly, FL2 costs twice what it should, Defender is nothing more than a bloody expensive mini-tractor.

Aside from a D4 there's nothing left for me in the LR fold now, and TBH, 58 grand for the HSE is about 20 grand above what I would be prepared to pay for it.

Looking at the LR pricing policy now I reckon my next car will be something German. For the massive reduction in cost there isn't really the same reduction in quality. Sure the X5 isn't as good off road, but I can live without that. Same deal on Tourag, or for that matter, the Volvo XC90 is not a bad buy. My NEEDS are for good towing which all the above will provide, whereas my DESIRES are for the LR product. Desires I can live without, especially if I feel robbed or that the product doesn't satisfy my desires.

Look at the JLR group as a whole. Jag are a one model company now with XJ being dead in the water. XK is still specialist, and again, for the cost I'd spend the extra and get an Aston. I really don't think Tata have been good for JLR in terms of policy or direction. If they can alienate me in this way then they'd better have new sources of customers. I am quite typical of a LR customer when you consider that in the last 20 years I have ALWAYS had at least one Land Rover and one Jaguar on the drive. I drove a RR classic for 10 years, had a P38, 3 L322's, a D3, a D2, Several Jag XJ's, 2 XK's, 2 S Types and now an XF. In 2 years time I can see the 2 family cars being a Tourag and an E class. RIP JLR, they no longer have something I want. Sad indeed.

Cant wait to see it! Going to see a supplier this week who has access to that part of the factory! Bet he's not allowed his iPhone on the shop floor though

I'm positively surprised especially comparing the pictures to the previous ones or the so-called artist's impressions of what it was going to look like.
It looks more compact although it is slightly larger, less weight so it will be a fair bit more agile and will take less fuel.
I think it looks quite nice, less regal but still imposing and restrained.
We need to see the details but this won't take long as I heard it will be unveiled in September for the Paris Motor Show.
Sure we'll see a lot of Brits taking the Eurostar to Paris during the Show!

Disco, Freelander Sport and FF all seem to share door mirrors at the moment so its not beyond possibility that the next generation would share them to so expect them to be fitted to new FF and Sport. The new sport I beliveve is going to be more FF than Disco in a little black dress.
JLR are currently chasing new markets so products will be aimed at the far east IMO Mine was a blue one!
