leaking FF!

Gents, the FF has suddenly lost its water integrity somewhere along the front driver side and am at a loss what it could be.

When parked sideways on a hill nose and right side lowest (in the rain) I'm getting a fairly substantial leak into the cabin that appears to be coming from the side of the dash and bonnet release lever recess and running into the door sill and speaker etc.

When I open the door I'm greeted by a big splash of water that has pooled inside the weather seal and there is obvious water trails on the speaker vent in the door and the bonnet release recess and the side of the dash is 'moist'.

Weather seals all seem to be OK round the door, so am thinking windscreen- any thoughts?

Sunroof drain blocked in the A pillar?

Pour a small amount of water in the corner of the sunroof tray with the sunroof open and see if it runs out the bottom or not!

The school of thought if you look on the net, appears to be to use compressed air up the tube in reverse.

I have read issues where this has blown the other end of the drain off the sunroof, causing even more issues.

When I had an issue on the Range Rover Classic, I used a line from a Strimmer, as it's fairly strong and blunt at the end.

I fed it down down the drains from the corners of the sunroof..........

spot on, thanks guys! Definitely the s/r drain on the driver side.

Have tried a long wire, 2ft was longest I could get hold of. also a compressed air keyboard cleaner but to no avail.

Have resorted to parking with the nose uphill for now to try and minimise the volume of water getting into the sunroof and booked into the dealer Wednesday if I can't get it cleared at home tonight.

Where do the drain hoses come out so I can take a look underneath later on?

Not sure on the L322, but I'd imagine you'd have to take the inner wheel arch liner out....

...just had look on the net.......

This may help, but its for a P38 Range Rover.

Bicycle brake cables are usually good for this. You can often get a 5m piece from your local bike shop for around £1. If the end frays a little they are even more effective, but get harder to work with.
