Whistler is a great place to go. I skied there a few years ago.
It's in Canada

Whistler is a great resort - an hour or two outside Vancouver

It can get very cold compared to the european resorts, but I loved it.

I liked the 3 valleys but felt the food and drink was overpriced compared to Austria

I've not skied in Canada but people I've met from Canada who ski in Europe always remark how surprising it is that you can sometimes ski in a T-Shirt.

Isn't it just horribly cold to ski there? I know when I ski in anything worse than -10c° I stop enjoying it. I skied in -25 once and it was awful.

Yes, I am a big girl when it comes to being cold.

King, get the Sorrell caribou snow boots. they are felt lined, fully waterproof adn ace. I have been through all sorts of weather with mine. Should be around £150.

Sorrel Caribou... They are a bit out of my budget at the moment for this ski trip Sad
Half thinking i'll just take my walking boots and buy some of those winter sole things and stick them on for the grip as they are thinsulate and waterproof.
Also taking one of these my mum got in prague many many moons ago for something like 50p Very Happy

So super warm, even when it was -10 in the last bad winter i would have to take it off frequently as my head would start sweating! so soft being mohair as well.[/img] FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Just back from Zurs, drove their and back in one hit each way. 4 adults all their ski gear and 2 extra sets of skis on the way back. Computer said average speed for all 1700 miles was 54mph, actual fuel used showed just over 25mpg. Car was just fantastic, chains taken but not used despite fresh snow on way in to resort. letters not necessarily in the right order
