the 2nd one is more like me Smile Though I seem happy without any poles at the moment as i need to focus more on using my lower body to turn instead of my upper body Smile
Snowplough is great Wink

Fingers crossed they will have boots at the hire shops for people with fat feet! Chill Factore hasnt and they are snug across the balls of my feet and kill after 2-3hours on the slope Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Cairns Blue

Hi Pleb
Bit late to this topic been distracted lately, ferry should be around £100 return try DFDS, tunnel about £20 more I go From north of Stoke to Just north of Limoges (650 ish miles) in one go that is similar distance to the resorts I can do it in two tanks with spare and motorway fuel is still cheaper than ours but find a supermarket if you can.
If the tunnel/ferry are with me time wise I can do it in around 12 hours. remember you might need chains to be allowed up to the resort but I am not 100% sure on the current rules for FWD's

enjoy and keep upper body still dont throw shoulders and upper body into turns use from the waist down and always face the fall line of the slope!
regards
Andy Mine was a blue one! Smile

The fall line is the splat mark i make on the slope right Laughing

Cheers Andy, Stoke isnt much further south than where i am so thats good Smile

I'll have a mosey and see if i can find something that has just off autoroute supermarkets mapped out as i hate using motorway ones in the uk or abroad any, still too noisy and close to traffic and a nice supermarche is good for a ponder around to see who can find a frogs leg or snail first! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Yes and it will give you chance to stretch your legs I dont know what supermarkets are about on the due south route as I always have to head towards Paris or Rouen not Rheims but I am sure someone will know. I travel with two grown kids (16/12) and Mrs I find putting the tv's on keeps them good and the roads are a dream after Paris.

Cant go skiing this year Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry Mine was a blue one! Smile

That shouldn't matter!! I'm going out on the 19th and back late on the 23rd, MrsC and the dog will have taken the FFRR up to the outlaws by then so I'll just get the train up to theirs on the afternoon of Xmas eve to perform my family duties!

Try these for chains

http://www.topgearsales.co.uk/topgear12m/mDefault.asp

and there are some on ebay as well for about £50. Fit to rear wheels only.

Got some for my e61 bmw and they were reasonable. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

What a bunch of bawbags. I was about to say I usually get a good 22mpg (real, not trip) in the SC in France. Mostly due to nice clear autoroutes and using a transponder instead of coming to a compete stop.

As for boots, Skiset do a deal where you can buy a fresh set of inners, which then fit in their rental boots. This means they mould to your feet and apparently are far comfier. Or you cold stop being a girl and get a snowboard? Thumbs Up
