Cheers Axle Smile

A quick look and car hire for a decent estate is £300 for the week but there appears to be another 80Euro on top for Winterisation Sad

Will go have a nosey now Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Scotland

If I lived down south (and I'm glad I don't Laughing ), I would defo go to the slopes in the car. You guys are lucky it's just a hop skip and a jump away. Travelling from Scotland by car, for me, is a no no. We would all be fighting before the tunnel as we are so bored doing that route. So, the plane is the only real option.
Your royal plebness.... The cost of 5 of you flying, plus transfers or car hire, how does that compare to the price of 5 sharing the fuel, tolls etc in your car?
I am actually off to glenshee tomorrow, Wednesday, with my boys. Hopefully there is enough o'the white stuff for a play. Previously..

Contra, flights and transfers are working out about £860+ Sad

Me and my brother still want to drive but the others vetoed it Sad

£120 for the chunnel return
3 tanks of fuel
€ 1.35 = £1.09p/l
£327
Tolls
£50

Total £497....
Saves 47% and about as much hassle if not less than this fannying around with having to get transfer for stupid amounts of money.

Transfers
€300*2
€600+
Flights
£80*5
£400

Total £883

Some people just have money to burn to be honest.
Even found a nice Chalet for upto 6 that was €400 for the week we want (a quiet week I've been told) So for the price of the flights and transfer I had roughly worked out we could get the accommodation in that as well thus saving a small wedge of money and sticking more into the beer/food/stripper fund.... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Just find some drunken seasonaires and buy them shots, much cheaper than strippers ...

Are they people that work there the whole season IE ski instructors and the like?

I best get brushing up the old French skills me thinks. My kraut is Censored though and Italian and anything else Sad

maybe i should use bablefish before i go and do a small company card sized thing with, 'Can you speak english', 'Can you help me warm my bed', 'fancy another' In the various languages to try out Wink FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I always drive - once you have skis/boards it makes even more sense - we will have 4 people, 3 sets of skis, 4 snowboards and 2 ski bikes plus 7 pairs of boots, 4 helmets and loads of other gear - driving is way easier for me Thumbs Up

TBH im half tempted if they can cancel the flights to balls to it and drive myself.
I'd have shed loads of space in the car and that long a drive isn't a ballache with some 4hr splits Smile

Donny to Kinlochbervie took 3 stops there and 4 back in a Disco 4 Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Does anyone know of a Ski Pass source for 5 people that will cover the 3 valleys for 6 days or 7 days at all?

The best source i can find is for groups of 3+ for 245Euro each..

Anyone able to better this at all? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

180euro blooming heck thats cheap as chips!

Is that for the 3 valleys and for 6days Axle?

I dont mind holding out and letting the others book theirs at the normal price as they always seem in a rush to get things done and make decisions without me anyhoo but more beer money is more beer money! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Hope you enjoy your holiday when you eventually get there. Just an aside as to equipment for driving in France, the breathalyser is not needed and prob never will be and you need a Hi viz for every passenger. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!
