thanks for that. I'd been thinking about fabbing one but that has the charger connector and looks better Smile

Will this work on a MY 2010 with factory fit tow bar? I have a CTEK charger but it only seems to work if I attached it directly to the battery terminals. Using the interior power sockets does not work so will the tow bar socket be any different?

As long as you have either a 12S socket (white) or a 13 pin socket it will work.
Both have a direct connection to the battery along with an earth connection.
The adaptors are configured to use these connections.

All except the power socket in the boot are dead with the key out on mine, so I charge through the white plug just to make sure it starts on a cold morning, the advantage is that you can leave the car locked up and the bonnet closed. Disadvantage is my C-Tek doesn't charge the battery as fully as when directly connected under the bonnet so I do that occasionally - read never Laughing Geoff

I use an Optimate 4 advantage is this type of battery charger doesn't just charge battery it actively cycles battery which I think is better for battery in long run. Also comes with a dedicated connector that permanently fit to the car so you just plug in close bonnet and forget about it. They can be had for as little as £30 of fleabay worth it imho. Thumbs Up
