think I should open a pole to see which members believe this will fix your problem it may be ok to quickly sell the car but if you want to keep it its not going to help but just cost more to fix in the end full engine clean as well as fix problem that should be done already good luck

I'm totally with you on fixing the problem properly and I'm against bodges totally, if it's broken I fix it and use genuine parts where possible...

I haven't always been in a position to fix things to 100% due to funds and have taken a different route at times... K seal is sold as a permanent repair, it is independently tested, I have read good things about it, I have also read bad things but these seem to be down to "operator error"

I fitted underfloor heating to the last two houses we have built/refurbed, both systems by NewHeat, this current one is 10 years old, the other over 15, both systems came with leak sealer to add to the system as well as a conditioner at commissioning, this was done and both systems have worked faultlessly....

My point is that when used correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations a leak sealer is a valid and useful tool....

I think we will have to agree to differ on this point, that's what is great about forums, Harlin has now heard both sides of the coin and can decide himself which way to go....

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Pete

I had a small leak somewhere. The Indy used a coolant leak on it about 6 mths and at least 5000km ago. All good so far. ______________________________

2 P38's which developed heater O ring problems. Both sorted with K-seal and 1 ran for a further 20k miles until sold. To long ago to remember how long the other ran for but K-seal cured the problem, at least until we sold it.

Harlin at the end of the day what's it going to cost you to find out, a tenner?

I would put it in and if it works brilliant, then all you have to do is keep an eye on the coolant levels, if it doesn't work then you know what you have to do, get it fixed properly.

As I was mentioned in this thread regarding my radiator and the suspicious looking goo it contained, I can confirm that it wasn't K Seal. I can say this as I myself have used K Seal in the past when I too had leaking heater matrix o rings in my P38, it did the job and I had the car for a further 2 years without any further leaks.

You pays your money you takes your choice.
