As for engine oil volume, mine took 9 litres exactly after two top ups / re checks.

so we're still not absolutely clear whether the reading is correct when hot as specified in the WM , or when cold as per Ninos suggestion.. ... - .- -.

Is the suction method what MDs use when servicing FFs? Obviously with the applicant engine type.

I have sucked mine out 3 times now and always got out over 9 to 9.25 litres of hot oil.

Having done many oil changes on many cars over the years, I sucked 9 litres of oil out in a few minutes and certainly won't be going back to dropping oil out of the bottom!! 2004 TD6 - Gone
