My 2011 VSE has got 2010 maps.
I should have insisted they updated them before I took delivery in 2014.... hindsight Big Cry
I found out last weekend that the Porthmadog bypass didn’t make it on to 2010 maps. ( I have no idea when it was built )

On a serious note, mine has 2010 mapping too.

The Porthmadog bypass opened early!!!! in 2011, so just after your mapping.

Thanks, Pawsinmud.,
I found it on Google maps later after following the sat nav blindly through the centre because I didn’t want to get lost.
I spotted a Gold coloured 2010 with a FF sticker in the back window who was either a local, or equally lost.

Guess it’s either cheap or expensive depending on what you can afford and whether the solution operates like OEM. I tend to use sat nav as a guide and probably for the last few miles on my journey. Shame there isn’t a good cheaper solution unless someone has spotted anything else. I was going to suggest a bulk buy but trying to get 50+ people to commit is hard work

my personal experience is to mount a cheap chinese nav with easily obtainable up-to-date maps on the vent and only use the main nav as a reference point to where you are on your journey..

I followed Stan’ s lead but tried a slightly different approach with a home made mount, but , more recently I have been using my iPad mini , using google maps, and the Gap App to view iid live values.
If this solution puts my iPhone or iPad onto the original screen , then I would be interested to learn more.

I am not seeking any entertainment upgrades, ie music or TV, other than maybe but not essential the introduction of a front facing camera on to the screen.

Look at the Gazer product on this thread:-

I've been asking them about the fit to a 2011 -- no reply just yet -- their UK website seems to suggest at circa £600 buy price Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

@Baltic and Stan.

Guys what mounts are you using for the XGodys.

I've got mine mounted to the driver headrest facing the rear seat, purely for the verbal warnings about all things "revenue generating". Blasts into my right ear.

Wouldn't mind being able to see the screen, but I don't want a sucker mount on the windscreen.

Cheers, Rich

Mine is a very simple “Blue Peter” home made effort, but very effective with no vibration.
It just pushes in the gap and so is easily removed when not needed.

I just taped the supplied plastic backplate to a bit of steel plate bent to the right angle.
