Assuming it's the factory one & not modified, that one is just a pin - there should be a clip through it on the other side.

Can,t see any clip on the pin neither can I see a hole in the pin for a clip, the pin is quite rusty though. It might be that the previous owner never fitted the clip to the pin. Blow torch and bigger hammer required I think. It is a westfalia towbar and the hitch is also, part no,s being 329077 and 323051 |

If you don't want that height adjustable tow bar, I'd really like it! |

If there's no pin on the other side - then it's threaded

Bit of lube on the pin, give it a tap, then tap the lever see if it frees up.

Alastair - if it is threaded I would,nt be able to turn the pin as the it hits the actual tow bar before I can get a full turn on it, the pin looks the same as your first pic but without the hole for the clip, unless its just rust covering the hole |

I bought a genuine LR rubber bung to go in the end of the open receiver to finish it off nicely and keep any out. Spayed some grease in there too. Hitch now in shed 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Yep - once the pin is out - then the fun really starts - trying to get the hitch out of the receiver

Jack it up with a trolley jack under the tow hitch. That might break the rust 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
