England 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black

Looks good. I liked the way the deflectors carried on over the boot window.

I know it's purely cosmetic but to me it gives a much better look.

The ones on my D2 only cover the opening windows and although it looks ok I wanted a smoother look on the Range Rover.

If I see you on the road I'll wave!

A while back I bought some black wheelnuts from eBay and after a few months they've gone rusty;

Now, we all know that rusty nuts aren't a good thing so I ordered 20 Genuine LR ones from Cam-Tech-Craig and managed to dodge the showers today to fit them;

Looks much better. (Yes, the pics show different wheels. They happen to be the best pics!)

New gas struts on the upper tailgate have now been fitted. Goes up much more quickly and comes down more slowly.

I did make a schoolboy error, though, and let this be a cautionary tale for anyone else attempting this 5 minute job without giving thought to the consequences.

If you remove one strut from the upper tailgate be prepared for gravity to make its presence felt, especially if like me, you don't get your finger out of the way of the now rapidly closing tailgate in time.

I don't think it's broken but it's Censored sore!

Many thanks to a chap called Paul near Rochdale who let me have a set of overmats free of charge.

Having vacuumed the car out the mats were fitted. They may not be to everyone's taste but they go nicely with my red and black interior.

Some good additions there, I wonder if anyone has ever said....

"Right, that's the Range Rover finished then....!"

If they have it would have been followed in short order by "Oh Censored . I need to fit/replace/add xxxxx!"

It's got another 12 months MoT on it, 2 advisories for oil misting on the rear shocks.

Replacement of said items will have to be done before I take the tintent out again!

Replaced the coolant expansion tank and sensor. The RHS air filter box is a royal PITA to get out. The air con pipe is in the way!

Hopefully that's the end of the "Coolant Low" warnings.

Hi Dunc, Have you got a part number for the sensor? I’ve also got the same issue and keep putting it off. Now the weather is getting better I should really get it changed.
