United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

I gave authorisation soon as quote came in for £720 all in. Thats why work was to ne started on the monday. But they had already had the car 3-4 weeks at that stage.

I dont know why they would diagnose then take off ramp and put to the back of the garage etc. This is the bit I domt understand and you are right I dont know what they have done if anything if it is fixed or diagnosed properly I only have their word for it. Current Cars

Dammed if I do dammed if I dont. Will be tricky for me to get there today as it snowed again. I will give them rope until tomorrow that giving them 3 days to work on it this week since I contacted. Then if its not fixed I will arrange collection next week. Current Cars

Can't say fairer then that mate. If there ain't no progress by end of play tomorrow when you go down there, then I'd say don't bother as it's obvious they ain't interested. From what I've seen with yourself I won't be going back there as I can't be doing without the car for that time for nothing too happen

Definitely. You have followed the post from the start. I been ipen with my experience. I wont be going back to them thats for sure. Up to everyone what they decide but this experience has actually been the worst with any garage I have taken a car to in 25 year. I have been fair. I haven phone blasted, email daily or been down there once. In 5 odd weeks I think I have been very reasonable and fair. Current Cars

You've been more then fair mate. Most people would have just said don't bother after two weeks. No one expects too loose their car 5 weeks and no work too be done but the comms has just been shocking. I'd go down there tomorrow and just say to them what's the plan. If it's being worked on then happy days but if its the usual yea will be next week etc then it's down to the you to decide on what too do going forward.

Yeah will do. Snow has cleared so easier for me to get there tomorrow. I have afforded them enough time. 5 weeks is far to long for a specialist Current Cars

UPDATE

So drove down to see martin. Essex to Dartford. Get there and I think Sean asks how can he help. Told him who Iwas and can I speak to Martin. Said he was outconateat drive. Ok Iwill wait

15 mins later after waiting for him Sean says he is really busy and can I come back in2 hours so Martin can chat with me. I said no I am here now

I explained to sean I need a date when the car will be fixed or when I cancollect it and take it to a main dealer as this is going on too long now.

He explained the car needed a part and then it was the weong part now they got the new part its just getting time to put the car on the ramps

I said sean 10 days ago the car was on the ramp you called me to say it was fixed. How do I know any work is being done on the car and what part did it need. He tried to check but said the notts dont say what part it was.

I said look you dont want the car here any longer thsn needsbe and I cant be without a car this long. He said if they can get a ramp freed up then he could do it by end of play today or mid next week.

I said look im a reasonable person. Get martin to update me today and then if car is not done by Wednesday then I will need to take it back

Unreal. Its like getting blood out of a stone. For martin not to give me 5 minutes is bad. Current Cars

Even for me mate that all still sounds very suspicious. If they was waiting on this part then your car should be stripped down and ready to be put back together. Thi k you've been more then fair mate. Did Sean at least apologise for his c*ck up last week?

I messaged Martin several times on FB asking for a quote to change the engine, transfer box and diff oils and a gearbox megaflush. No response.

Messaged Tim McKnight (Alltrack 4x4) and got a response in minutes.

Guess where I went!

I appreciate that Essex to Malvern is a heck of a trek but at least Tim keeps you updated if anything goes awry. He'll lend you a car, too, if you need it.

Ahh Dunc. Appreciated I will keep that in mind next time for sure.

It does sound suspicious and I asked what part and he could not tell me. But why would you want to keep a vehicle longer thsn needed. Actually I didnt see the car so now wondering where it is

Sean said yeah martin told him to call ash and then when he called it was the weong car i said look mate mistakes happen but whats going on with it now. I will seeif martin contacts me this evening. I doubt he will

Ash, wow! that really is abysmal. Your custom obviously isn't worth Jack by the sounds of it. You did well to keep your cool, I think I would have demanded to see my car after that exchange. Worth writing up your experience in the "Dealership & Service Feedback" section once you have your car back. 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE

It's definitely not the experience I'd expect given the reputation Martin has.

Maybe he's taken on too much work and is suffering as a result.

I had to keep my cool Denn. It would turn in to a row/foght and the odds were not in my favour. But to be there face to face and still get told Martin is busy. I was like I will wait but Censored waiting 2 hours. Sean is clueless but the pawn in all this. The rest I have no idea.

I was trying to see the car but couldnt get a good view. It wasnt on the road side that eas one bonus I guess Current Cars
