Not in my opinion, no.

On the 30th September, I went to an event hosted by Rolls-Royce Mayfair, it was billed as being the party of the year (and it certainly was). While they checked guests temperatures on the door upon arrival, and asked in advance that anyone who felt unwell stay away, there were in excess of 200 people present and not a single mask in sight.

One reason for the celebration was to mark the end of all this Covid misery.

I think it's time to move on now - If we don't soon, we never will.

Just my personal opinion.........

Having been fortunate to see the vehicle this weekend, it is truly impressive and progressive. Expectations exceeded.

Whilst Fight Club Rule No. 1 seems to apply - be great to hear more about the circumstances people who've seen it are sworn to. I assume NDA - it's all very watertight so I'm fascinated to know how there seems to be no leaks yet.

. Cheers, Greg

What I cant understand is that I currently have five Land Rover Products x2 being Range Rover SV Autobiography 2015 & 2018. And have had 10 previous Range Rovers all brought brand new and no invite? Am I missing something here?

The event was very well done and yes indeed everyone is under an NDA and security was very strict at the event around personal devices so I’m not surprised there’s been no leaks. The vehicle launch is imminent.

DrF, that must surely be an oversight. My understanding is it’s the retailers who proposed a list of names to JLR. My retailer was only assigned 5 spaces (+1 guest each), however.

Did you buy them all from the same dealer? If you did, then that's really poor.

Or maybe with that history they think you'll buy one anyway, so gave your spot to someone more likely to be in the fence! Laughing MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I've used several dealers over the years as I've moved around, so I've nobody to blame and no real relationship with anyone in Land Rover sales. However, if i'd bought 2 x SV Autobiography's in 6 years from the same dealer and I didn't receive an invite, they wouldn't be getting another order!

Thanks for the comments, all from the same dealer, plus they service and maintain all vehicles. So yes very disappointing. Also they are aware I am interested in a new L460 plus a Defender V8. Perhaps its time to make a move to a different dealer, 25+ years of loyalty not worth a lot in my opinion which is a shame.

I also have two Aston Martins plus a Bentley and the dealers both treat me like royalty, I get invites to factory tours regularly, new model launches and am always well looked after.

You would think JLR would take a bit more care of there customers, we are a loyal bunch. Little things make a massive difference.

Looks like I will find out with the masses

Ring them and ask for an invite, they can’t have many better customers.

@drF,

I can't quite believe this - This is disgraceful.

It sounds like the other manufacturer's treat you with the respect you deserve and are grateful for your business, I don't know if it's because Land Rover are more of a "volume manufacturer" that their gratitude to customers becomes lost, but you're not buying budget entry level models here, someone at the dealership should have identified you as a "must be on the list" guest.

I know Autobiography said his dealer only had 5 invites, and he is right they have been quite limited, but my brothers dealer told him they had 16 invites available, so they haven't all been quite as limited. He got his invite while nipping in for some Ad Blue or similar, so there's no reason why you shouldn't have got one.

I don't think SV Autobiography models equate to even 1% of a dealerships sales, yet you've bought two 3 years apart!

There's really no excuse for this. I'd start to look elsewhere, after all, the price you pay will be the same wherever you order from.

We were invited by the salesman at our dealership who sold us the last 3 Range Rovers and our Defender and with whom we put a deposit down with during the summer for an L460. letters not necessarily in the right order

Truly unbelievable. I assumed they just don’t like me ! Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc
