Just a thought, if you have a Gap iiD, look in the CCF for the BCU to see if there is the option to have the system switched on or off.

Struggling to think of anything else. Sad

Tried that now but nothing in there to help.

I put in what is regarded as an default code 1515 to the central screen and not worked for me . Land Rover not helpful with default code either. Tried reset with battery - off and wait a minute , put lead back on and Alarm goes , cancel this and run instructions for 10mn countdown wit key on 11 position. Nothing!

I am stuck, really stuck, I have come across this in the GAPIID Manual ,

I need some advice as to how I get into the sector I am about to post from the Gap Manual, please.

Deactivate Valet Mode (L322-10, L319-10, L320-10) This routine will return the vehicle from valet to normal mode. This is useful when the PIN is unknown and the vehicle is in valet mode

Please advise the process don't seem to find the path!

It’s not valet mode, that’s on later cars. Yours is BMW based and it’s the user code for the starter immobilisation. In valet mode, the car will still start, I think it locks the glove box and boot etc so valet man can’t search the car.

I wonder if Navcoder will help?

Or it still might be worth emailing GAP or sending a PM, see if they can help via the IID tool.

I also wonder if you might be better with a BMW specialist, as that’s what all the units and electronics are.

Not very often we get stuck on here, but I’ve no idea now. I know what it’s doing, just don’t know how to get you going again.....

Many thanks for your support on this , it's not me that is wrong then, I thought my diagnostic skills were bad but not that bad! I have tried to email GAP last night but the sight froze, frustrating! I'm wandering if GAP Pro might do it.

I think you need to talk to GAP first. I know on a number of occasions they have written code to help on a number of situations and sent it to your IID tool..... but if they can’t or it won’t do anything as standard, might be better to get it going before you invest in one.

I don’t think it’s a specific Land Rover issue, it’s a BMW thing, and there are more BMWs out there with this system in than L322s, that’s why I figured a BMW guru might suggest more.....

Reply from GAP is can't be done.

That is to say the GAP tool can't override the interlock code. Sad

Would anyone with their knowledge know if the Sat Nav is controlling the BCM FOR THE CODE , or is the BCM the problem and not accept the code for this interlock.

Had a look and a search in RAVE. I took a photo of the screen....

I’m also not sure what it does if a couple of the ecu’s have lost sync? Red herring perhaps... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
