Just when I thought it was sorted!!!!!

Just did around 50 miles in reduced performance mode AGAIN!! 80% of the journey was motorway, as I accelerated in the outside lane there was a sudden shudder and reduced performance mode kicked in straight away, within 2 miles DPF Full waves hello at me closely followed by the engine management light!

On my return home I removed the plastic engine cover to find little oily deposits in various places across the top and towards the front of the engine, see photos attached.

It's back to the garage on Monday.

Anybody ever experienced this before?

I'm seriously hacked off and am starting to regret buying the bloody thing!!

Update from today.

Turns out that the nearside inlet manifold has split at its seam.

Thankfully the dealer I bought it from has agreed to cover the full cost of replacement under their own warranty. Only issue now is that a replacement manifold is on back order, could be a week or up to a month.

For the time being I am the proud driver of my mates 241000 mile 2007 Toyota Prius, reliable though

I'm pretty confident they're regularly in stock. I may be kidding myself but I think I saw Maltings had 2 last week which are sold now. Probably just a case of waiting a week or two for the next warehouse delivery. I'm not sure where they're made or who makes them for Land Rover.

In terms of the labour when it arrives - it can probably be done whilst you wait. There's only around 40 minutes to an hour of work, mostly undoing and refitting all the hoses 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Gary, you thinking of the plenum chamber and not the inlet manifold? Doubt you could do the inlet manifold in that time.

That's fair enough mate. Think it took me longer than that to just take the plenum off!! I suppose if you've done it once then it is quicker next time.

They can be repaired by a line of rivets or self tapping screws along the seam. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
