Im going to try some rubber hose and compressed air to start then and nip up the joints better as access was a pig

I will get some compound and uk made Compression fittings if that fails. Then give up and just buy a new pipe if all fails

Success after nipping them up the system held pressure under vaccum

Happy days...for anyone else doing this sort of repair swop out any brass olives that come with the fitting for copper olives their softer and seal much better

It said 42 when we got in the car and dropped to 41 after driving off. The car was park in ypres town centre in belgium early July this year so it reflects and traps all the heat making the main town square a bit of an oven.
