What happens when the battery is down a bit and you are pulling 6A on the dc side? |

assuming all the other figures are the same then the volt drop would be 5.28v. Phil |

Therefore as the max voltage output of the charger and most chargers is 14.4V the supplied voltage to the battery would be 9.12V.

to pull 6amp on a 12v system over 20 metres you would need a csa of 16mm squared |

Cut the clips off leaving sufficient length and buy some 4mm "banana" inline plugs and sockets to fit and do the same with the ctek accessories or fit sockets on the charger.

I have wired one into my car with a cheap lawnmower type plug on the mains power under the bonnet in a dry area, when i want to charge the car or leave for a prolonged period i just connect the mains from my old mover lead with RCD plug under my bonnet and walk away... Simples...

CTEK is the indicator light thingy, and a charging adapter on the end of it, its connected to the car battery itself with eyelets to the terminals, and coiled up in the battery compartment (theres about 10 inches of cable) |
