22 - Separate the Strut from the hub – 343 viewsWith the bolts out I used a suitably sized cold chisel to lever the hub and the strut apart, no struggle here.

20 - Back to the Tight One – 345 viewsHere's the kit that finally released the lower bolt. A 16" breaker bar (1/2"), 24mm six sided deep socket and three legs from the trampoline in the garden! - gave me about 5ft to lean on. After about 20 minutes of slowly turning the bolt a few taps with the clump hammer on the nut started the thing moving and eventually it just fell out.

19 - Views inside the wheel arch - Valve Block – 386 viewsRight, this is what your after, the valve block. On my car the lower yellow tube is for the drivers side (UK), the upper for the passenger side (UK). I'll need access to this when I do the passenger side strut, as it will still have air in it. Apparently you need to loosen one of the black airlines to release the air on the passenger side.

13 removing inner wheel arch 4 – 305 viewsGetting it out, once you have undone all the fixing is a matter of tugging away from the inner sides and wiggling until it falls away from the main wheel arch rim. Not looking forward to putting it back in!

12 - removing inner wheel arch 3 – 312 viewsAt the rear you have three hexagon headed screws (8mm) and the tricky one is tucked up just behind the mudflap. Its a plastic clip fixing, but you need to unscrew first with a Philips screwdriver, then use a pair of pliers to finish the unscrewing (as the screwdriver keeps pushing the clip back in)

11 - removing inner wheel arch 2 – 320 viewsAt the front you have to remove a set of plastic clips to release this section
