So typical that they think they can get away with it...
I would have said yes I have a nice car, because I am honest, hard working and also have a camera in the car that has just caught exactly what you have just done.... You have tried to ruin my day... I hope this now ruins yours.... falsifying documentation for gain (i.e. Commission and reaching targets) and lying is gross misconduct in employment..

Give em both barrels. Remember the camera never lies... ( i.e. Care Homes..... where busted by hidden cameras recently)

Here in StHelens, the local council climbed in to bed with NCP and contracted them to regulate all the Boroughs parking , issue tickets ect. There is a split from the fines raised, some goes to pay the wasps on their scooters that dart around every street and alley looking for transgressions, the rest goes in to the councils coffers.
Now it's not a large town and congestion is an hour affair in the mornings and at tea time yet we have seen a massive increase in new yellow lines and free parking bays changed to pay and display. The lines are often claimed to be all about increasing safety yet it's strange how once some lines where removed and pay and display bays put down to replace them, the particular stretches of road suddenly became SAFE !!

Five minutes late back to a pay and display bay will see a £35 fine even though the hour costs just 80 pence, totally disproportionate.

Since their introduction, the town centre has died off at an alarming rate and local paper comments always refer to the fact that the towns motorists have had enough and that shoppers are taking to the free parking at the retail parks that surround it. There is not an ounce of room for error or emergency when parking, such is the concentration of wardens. As the motorists have become more compliant, or gone else where, the income from fines has dropped, leading to even more rules and regulations, slight of hand changes and pure subterfuge to con people in to making a mistake when leaving a car at the side of the road.

Just been on the phone to my wife about another matter, when dash-cams and parking fines came up. She said that a couple of months back she was in Warminster, parked up in a pay & display and genuinely forgot to get a ticket. When she got back to the car there was a parking fine (£25.00 I think) which she duly paid as she did not have a ticket on the car, what annoyed her though was the report of the incident in which the parking attendant stated 'I watched the lady in question get out of the car and walk out of the car park without purchasing a ticket', if he had been human he would have called her and reminded her to get a ticket....

Its all about the money as they get a much higher sum for the fine than the parking fee!! Twisted Evil

I have a friend who got a ticket in Bristol and managed to demonstrate that the sign on the wall was not precisely the right height, hence the "fine" was illegal. Not enough people are anal like that though!

One of the joys of the north of Scotland, so many places to park, in fact with recent cuts there are no traffic wardens about here. I feel for people down south, these idiots drive good people and business away for the sake of what? keeping the crappy ticket numbers up? They really should get booted for dishonesty in this case, it'd ask how they sleep at night but i've seen the adverts - Horlicks Laughing 09 TDV8 Westminster, Mariana Black, Rear seat entertainment, hatch bag and 2 slobbery mutts

^Getting a parking ticket round here is so unheard of you deserve your name in the paper, usually alongside sheep and cattle rustlers which are far more common. Thumbs Up

We live in a small village in a rural area and a few weeks back a car got clamped for no road tax. That had the whole village gossiping Rolling with laughter . Not a yellow line in site round my village and no car parks either.

What about this one then...

Cameras on Car Parks....... And the DVLA getting into the act (for a nominal fee) will issue the owner of said camera the full details of the owner of the car.. So they can issue you a fine...

I think if the DVLA didn't give your details - How quickly would the Car Park maggots go out of business

Compare and contrast.... - Wardens on the streets.. - On foot, on Bikes, In little smart cars and now the Car Parks..

PS.. I have been a upstanding citizen in the Community.. and not once parked my car where I shouldn't.... lol.. Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Nar - Whistle I've just been lucky... and not had any Parking tickets ever...
