I know nothing of the modern 'car play' systems and have no knowledge of Spotify etc, so I wonder if anyone can tell me this:

Can these systems give you internet on the car screen? If I want to watch glance at a live feed from a particular website while driving, will this system do that? Sorry for being a bit thick...... Embarassed The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom Smile

Any chance there's a guide available for the dash removal process?

That and the cabin fan. A link to the part number or aftermarket model, and walk through for replacing it would be like Christmas coming early...

Yes, follow my guide on how to change the cabin fan. You remove the stereo anyway as part of the fan replacement.

Yes it will. The systems are basically a jazzed up Android tablet. You can install any apps like a phone from Google Play Store, Including Netflix, Spotify, YouTube, Chrome etc. To give it Internet access, you can either install a sim card or hotspot it to your phone.

Obviously a cautionary note to only use certain apps when not driving or whilst stationary. The voice control button on the steering wheel gets replaced with Google Assistsnt, so say you want to check a football score or ask a question whilst driving, you can always do this verbally. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Thanks mg rover.
There are already things in the box that I don't know what they are and zero reply from the seller.
I'm sure it will be more apparent once it's all in bits but it's going to be a week or two as I'm working in Poland and Holland next couple of weeks.

Hey,

On the newer 12.3 inch android displays, will you be still able to change the analog/dashboard clock through the system? And do you need to change out the microphone with the one supplied or can you keep the OEM one and is the quality of phone calls any good?

Thanks

Bas
