I don't think that SMDs are suitable to replace the existing headlight LEDs they don't look like SMD, but then again I haven't taken my headlight apart yet.

I was kinda hoping someone else already had Whistle Wot's that in old money

i have a damaged 2012 headlight in the workshop and it looks as the plastic lens is bonded to the rear houseing
there is some lugs top and bottom that looks as if you can unclip them , but they are bonded as well if you could melt the glue then maybe
i will give it a go and see if it will melt as the lens is cracked so it doesnt matter Thumbs Up 1990 3.5 v8 defender

It's glue I guess. Needs a gentle heating with a heat gun all the way round.

There is a link and pics on the D3 forum, but I can't find them again right now !

I would be great to find out Wot's that in old money

Got around to fitting the LED's into the fogs quite pleased with the result.

Other members have done good write up's on how to do it but my 10p's worth.

My reflectors were shot with the surface all flaking off. I will need new ones but a temporary fix is aluminium foil duct tape. It can be worked into shape without to many creases and then given a polish, not quite good as new but good enough.

I wanted my LED's to sit at the back of the light against the reflector. the fog light housing is tapered the 80mm diameter Leds are a tight fit at the reflector end so I had to file/sand them down to a nice fit as if you force them they break! Big Cry

I also managed to get Led's with a black background so they are less noticable when off.

Relay came from the bay of E It was supposed to be a voltage sensing type that could go onto a permanant live and turn on and off when the voltage went up when the engine was running it also has a switch wire for side/headlights to turn the DRL's off when they are on as per the rules. However it was faulty and just stayed on engine running or not so I just fed it with an ignition switched feed from the nearside headlight as per Joe 90's earlier post. Mine was a blue one! Smile

Citroen C4's are one of the best cars to follow in a RR. You can see yourself driving in their shiny rear windows (ooh er missus) Thumbs Up
