United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey

This one on the bay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-Step-Sequenti...:rk:7:pf:0

...is 5-steps.

We'd need 8 steps ideally. You could always combine a couple and use the 5-step I guess. Not great for the OCD.

Looking at this I think as per my last post it might be easier to take the original ribbon completely out and make up a new 'string' with new LEDs.

EDIT It's 12 LEDs like this:

Any suggestions on which LED's anyone?

. Cheers, Greg

wow, you have been busy....why did LR make these lights so complicated Laughing

when you look at the light unit [fitted] you see 8 vertical rows so if using a five step module you could have a sequence of 3,2,1,1,1 maybe..

can the ribbon be spliced somehow greg?

@craig Thumbs Up

I've counted seven rows Stan.... (I could be wrong).

Not sure I'd be confident slicing into the ribbon. No idea though.
But on a safety item I'd want a super sound connection.

With ribbon then LED and ribbon then LED etc etc you'd end up with so many slices I'm thinking better and more reliable to make up a new 'sting' with new cable and new LEDs.

. Cheers, Greg

thinking that if the rear light unit does have 8 vertical leds then a 4 step module would be best [2,2,2,2]

Nah John the strip won't work.
We'll need 12 individual LEDs made up to fit the housing positions..

They are a good find John and would work well with the earlier non led lights. Thumbs Up 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

LEDs use a driver IC so cutting into the strip wont work unless the drivers are next to the LEDs. The LED strips that can be cut have their drivers adjacent to the LEDs using 12V+/- rails down each side.

Progressively lighting blinkers are unlikely to meet regulatory timing requirements when viewed from the extremities.
