Here's the video I took on the way home. I initially thought it was when I went around a corner, but after a while it was clear that it was only on acceleration.

Sounds like a belt or a bearing away in the engine compartment. I take it the same noise happens wether you are doing 20 or 60 and accelerating? Previously..

Checked the brake caliper and no signs of it binding, brakes discs warm but not hot after a run. Yes, its not speed dependant, but load on the engine.

Sounds like a belt noise to me, if you have an injector spraying diesel around the engine compartment it could have got onto one of the belts - everything is quite tightly packaged on the TDV8 |

I've stuck my head back under, the fuel seems mainly to be leaking down and backwards, I don't think its getting to the belts although its hard to tell there's so much gubbins under there!

Have you looked at your turbo hoses for damage or loose clips? |

Well the LR dealer can't even see it until Friday so I'm taking it in my garage and taking it apart. It will probably never work again! |

Can you get your hand to the belt? Obviously when it's not running! How much free movement is there in the belt? [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

No obvious signs of damage to hoses, although its not easy to be 100% sure lying on your back.

Could it be tranny related, maybe a bearing in the tc, or if it sounds like its coming from the front maybe something in the front diff. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
