so you had the JE remap for the FFRR? Complete waste of money? are their claims false about the increase in power and torque?

no it wasnt JE but another company who claimed a better mpg and smoother gearchange , which was the case for about 10 days and then it all went back to before the map...its a fact that uploading a map whether its the original or a tweaked one will reset all the gearbox adaptations and mpg computer so even with the original map uploaded the range will feel better, for a while that is.... ... - .- -.

2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey

I am not sure I am following you.

so all worked fine for a few days, and then it reset back to the original map? Was this a deliberate choice of your's?

regarding MPG, I am not sure there are that many owners of a 4.4 TDV8 FFRR who spend £750 quid on a remap, so they can see a couple of extra MPG. Can you imagine how many miles you would need to drive to get the £750 quid back? Could you be bothered to work it out?

surely the point is improved engine torque and power? i have seen a couple of remaps available for the 4.4 TDV8 but they just shoved the increased power further up the rev range.....which is not what i would want. The JE Engineering option seems to offer increased torque and power at lower revs. so I would be interested.

am not sure what you mean by gearbox adaptations.......my FFRR is standard at the moment so my gearbox adaptations are going to be reset to what ?

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

I have heard of these upgrades that disappear after a while.

The JE engineering upgrade is a very good upgrade I from the reviews I have seen sofar. They flash it into the ECU to stay. If you want to go back to original, they will have to reflash it back to normal or you have to use a Faultmate.

Have a look around the forum and the net on JE engineering upgrades and their reviews and see if it is worth it to you Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

90-110 shouldnt be too bad. 110+ is the hard bit as its just out of puff then.

110 and the SC is just waking up, however it's probably used the equivalent of a months worth of fuel for a TD6 to get there ...
