Yes Andy you need to take the door panels off and there is a 10mm nut on each end inside the panel Thumbs Up

Two torx screws along the door pocket and one in the door handle and a 10mm nut behind the Landrover badge and then it unclips.

5min job very easy

ok so have done the door storage cappings which was straight foward and i have some door surrounds to put on (the powerfuluk sticky on ones) but i havent got any of the window switches yet, as am not sure whether to go stick on route or actual proper part...... so two q's

1) how easy are the proper parts to fit ie get the whole door card on and off? as i didnt have to actually take the door card off to get the other bits on, i just loosened it at the bottom not the top as the top bit looked a bit tricky

2) has anyone used the stick on ones for the window switches? craig says the door pull versions are good but i dont know about the window switches?

I fitted the black piano window stick-on things to my S/C and all went well, other than the fit for the driver's door one. I suppose it's the sheer number of cutouts but I needed to trim mine to get it to fit properly and it still doesn't look 'factory', so is coming off soon to be replaced with a genuine replacement. The other three are fine and an easy job.

Personally, I'd fit the proper ones and avoid stick-on. I know others here who've had no problems.

I'd also be very interested in door card removal tips and techniques. Thumbs Up Si. <This is my name.

one thing i forgot to ask, was would i be right in thinking that i can fit the sticks ons around the door pulls, and it wont affect me taking the door cards off in the future? i think thats correct but can anyone tell me if i am right?

I've fitted the Powerful covers on the window switches and door pulls, IMO they look really good and fit well, the drivers window switch pack isn't perfect but as mentioned it's due to the sheer number of switches. I think fundamentally unless you knew the parts weren't genuine you'd be hard pushed to notice Smile

Looks nice I'm putting extra timber into mine too so I wondered how to remove trims from the window bins . Where did you get those trims from. I was considering having mine aqua printed in walnut depending on the match Thumbs Up Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

[Unnecessary quote removed]

Mine is the 9 piece facia kit from Powerful UK, it's a very good match colour wise and the finish is quite similar considering it's printed abs as opposed to proper timber veneers.

Googsy, i put the real parts on the door bins as i got some second hand..... its an easy job to do......here's a quick summary...

1. remove 3 torq screws from the door card, two by the side of the door bins and one in the handle pull, they are all different sizes so make sure you remember which one goes where.

2) ease the bottom of the door card away, they are on clips so just pull it, dont take all the way off as you dont need to, just half way up the door will do.

3) remove the 2x 10 mill nut at the back of the card, the one by the door edde is easy, the other one, just lie on your back and you can get your hand up the back to the other one.

4) push the bolt through of the existing strip, you need to muscle a little, also the strips are on clips at the front, but they essentially pull off.

5) put the new one on, reverse of the above 5 mins per door....

hope this is what you wanted?
